Luiss University

Luiss is an independent university that evolved out of an earlier Roman institution, the Pro Deo, between 1974 and 1978. Throughout its five Departments of Economics and Finance, Business and Management, Law, Political Science, and AI, Data and Decision Sciences, Luiss offers an innovative and sophisticated educational approach. Its goal is not simply to convey knowledge but to instill flexibility in young people, giving them a sense of mastery over their future.

Luiss offers four doctoral programs - PhD in Management, PhD in Economics, PhD in Politics and PhD in Law and Business - and promotes PhD programs in collaboration with other universities and with several partners from the corporate and institutional sectors. Luiss University Doctoral candidates are not only well prepared for successful careers as researchers or high qualified experts, but they also have strong possibilities to publish their work independently during their studies and to gain significant teaching experience. 

Furthermore, Luiss has six Schools for graduate and professional studies: the Luiss Business School, the School of Government, the School of Law, and the School of European Political Economy, the Graduate School, the Undergraduate School.

The Luiss Career Service provides students and graduates with valuable support in building their career pathway. The Staff is committed to offering students the necessary support during the transition from university to work. This pathway is realized through periodic meetings with the Career Service Staff, who offers a detailed analysis of the individual’s strengths and weaknesses that emerge when first approaching the world of work.
