HiST offers higher level education and research and is the second largest University College in Norway.

We are presently educating about 8000 students in degree programmes within the fields of Business and Administration, Health and Social Work, Informatics, Interpreter for the Deaf, Teacher Education and Technology. In addition we provide a wide range of continuing professional education courses qualifying for entrance to a multitude of professions.

The University College provides the region with research-based knowledge to meet the regional demands. Both the education and the research are closely connected to regional industry and public services.

The University College is located in Trondheim, Mid Norway. The town is known as “The town of the students” in Norway, and is urban but still a small and cozy town.
