For the Photon Science Detector Group we are looking for a

Software engineer 80% or more, flextime

Your tasks
You will participate in the software development for the next generation high-speed X-ray detectors. These detectors, fully developed in-house and based on custom ASICs, produce several tens of GB/s of data. You will collaborate on the software to control and read out the detectors as well as on a library for data analysis.

As our group philosophy relies on strong teamwork, you will be able to gain insight into many aspects of detector development and see the software used for in-house testing and in production at synchrotrons around the world.

Your profile

  • You have a Master’s or PhD degree in computer science or a related field
  • You are proficient in Python and C++
  • Experience in extending Python with C or C++ is a plus
  • You like to collaborate, value teamwork and can communicate clearly in English with people from diverse backgrounds
