The School of Engineering at EPFL invites applications for a faculty position in Women’s Health Engineering and Digital Technologies. Appointments will be at the Tenure Track Assistant Professor level. We seek exceptional individuals who will develop and lead a research program at the forefront of the discipline and who will have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate-level teaching.  

We are seeking innovative researchers to advance engineering-driven solutions in women’s healthcare, focusing on personalized monitoring, diagnostics, and treatment. Relevant expertise includes wearable sensors, organoids, microfluidics, advanced imaging, biomedical microsystems, and AI-based analytics, with emphasis on data-driven approaches that integrate sex-specific physiology and enable clinically impactful, minimally invasive technologies across the lifespan.

The position is an endowed chair supported by the Leister Foundation. Thematic links to research topics at the Institute of Bioengineering, and wherever relevant at the School of Engineering, School of Life Sciences and School of Computer and Communication Sciences, are strongly encouraged.

The candidate’s ability to teach STEM subjects and/or bioengineering topics will be a key selection criterion.
