At the Institute of Telecommunications of TU Vienna, a career position (40 hours per week) in the research area Signal Processing is expected to start in October 2023. The position is initially limited to a period of six years. In the case of the conclusion of a qualification agreement and the achievement of the agreed goals, there is the possibility of a permanent employment contract as Associate Professor. The position includes research and teaching in the area of Signal and Data Processing in the cross-section of signal processing, data science, information theory, quantum information, coding and (machine) learning. Current research areas include: sparse signal and data models, signals on graphs, clustering, data representation, fusion, compression, and probabilistic methods for machine learning.

The employment starts as University Assistant with a minimum salary of EUR 4,351.90 gross (14 x per year) according to the collective bargaining agreement for a PostDoc. After signing the qualification agreement, the employment continues as Assistant Professor with a minimum salary of EUR 5,124.20 gross (14 x per year).
