Building Solids for Function (Solids4Fun)

The Program:

The purpose of the Doctoral School Solids4Fun is to determine the interplay between various parameters and properties of a wide range of different inorganic solids. Research and training in Solids4Fun is concentrated around four central issues, which are covered by the research activities of the faculty members: Surface structure and reactivity, Designed and artificial matter, Electronic properties and correlations, Optical properties and ultrafast dynamics.

We are looking for successful and motivated students. The doctoral positions are financed by scholarships according to the funding scheme of the Austrian Science Fund. Highly qualified female candidates are expressly encouraged to apply.
