For a collaborative project between Johnson & Johnson and the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), focusing on the investigation of the mode of action and potential adverse effects of permeation enhancers for application in beyond-rule-of-5 (bRO5) therapeutics, the Advanced Material Characterization & Investigations team within Analytical Development (AD-AMCI) of Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine (JJIM) and the division of Pharmaceutical Analysis of the Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences of KU Leuven are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher.

AD-AMCI is an international and diverse multidisciplinary team of scientists leading advanced characterization and increasing mechanistical understanding of drug substances and drug products. We are also leading analytical investigations for the commercial and R&D portfolio. Within AMCI, the Advanced Molecular Analysis (AMA) team is a group of analytical centers of excellence in structure elucidation (by High-Resolution Mass Spectrometry and NMR), trace organic analysis, excipient & polymer characterization, etc.

Within Pharmaceutical Analysis, the research group of Prof. Deirdre Cabooter is working on the fundamental investigation of mass transfer phenomena in liquid chromatography, the implementation of multidimensional liquid chromatography (LC) techniques in combination with mass spectrometry (MS) for applications in different fields of research (environmental, pharmaceutical, biological) and the development of automatable method development strategies for complex samples.
