We are looking for a committed individual with sound theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), who has a strong track record in teaching and research in at least two of the following areas of AI:

  • Cognitive robotics and human-robot interaction
  • Autonomous systems
  • Knowledge-based systems, automated reasoning

We expect:

  • practice-oriented teaching of the course content in German and English language and in digital formats
  • Content-related and strategic further development of the computer science degree programs (B.Sc./M.Sc.)
  • Supervision of practical, Bachelor's and Master's theses, implementation of research and practical projects
  • Involvement in acquiring third-party funding and establishing partnerships in academia and industry
  • Active participation in academic self-administration and commitment on our way to becoming a European university and in the internationalization of our university

Your profile:

  • You have a university degree in computer science, mathematics or a comparable subject and a relevant doctorate
  • You have at least five years of professional experience, including at least three years outside of academia
  • You can prove your scientific qualifications through publications at leading international AI conferences and/or journals
  • You are committed, team-oriented and enjoy working in teaching and research

You may have already acquired your teaching skills through teaching assignments or didactic training courses.

The position is available for an unlimited period of time. When first appointed to a professorship, employment is initially on a probationary civil service basis or on a permanent employment basis with a three-year probationary period.
